Aloe Vera Leaf powder
Aloe vera
This succulent is thought of as a useful kitchen windowsill herb—not to cook with, but to snap open should a mild burn or other mishap occur while cooking. The powdered herb also lends soothing qualities to salves, lotions and other topical preparations.
Use aloe leaf powder in bath salts and bath teas, foot soak powders, facial masks, lotions, creams, hand sanitizer and other topical products.
Aloe leaf powder may be added to foods and beverages in small amounts or taken in capsule form.
Aloe leaf powder should not be used long-term or taken in high doses and is not recommended for children younger than age 12. This herb may reduce the absorption of anticoagulants and anti-platelet medications, diuretics and diabetes drugs. Talk to your doctor before using this herb if you have a chronic condition, a history of kidney disease or if you take pharmaceutical medications.
